The rules are in place to keep OfficeDebo running in a sane state. From time to time, players and staff may need to review these rules to remind themselves of what exactly we deem as appropriate.
Please remember these rules are not set in stone. They are subject to change and the staff of OfficeDebo should use discretion when dealing with rule breakers. Special conditions will almost always apply.
1.0 Overview
- These rules are often generalized and as of such, any attempt to .loophole. the rules of OfficeDebo is an offense against the rules of OfficeDebo.
- These rules were made under the assumption that all players will maintain an acceptable level of conduct and maturity.
2.0 General Rules
- Staff are placed in position by authority of top-level management. If you should encounter a problem in dealing with a staff member, you should contact top-level management in order to rectify the situation. You are not to take matters into your own hands.
- Players will always treat each other with an expected level of respect.
- Players will not harass another player in any way, shape or form. If a player should request that you leave them alone, you will not en-devour to harass them furthermore.
- Sexual misconduct is prohibited. You must abide by in the laws outlined in the United States of America and Australia. Anyone found breaking this rule may be reported to the appropriate authorities.
- Language is tolerated to a certain extent. Unacceptable (racist, sexist) language is deemed inappropriate and you will be banned from accessing the message boards for 3 days per offense.
- If a loophole or bug is found in the system which runs OfficeDebo and does or does not benefit you, it is your duty to report it to top-level management using the .Lodge a Bug. feature found within the game. If you are found abusing a loophole or bug on purpose or are found to be purposely hiding a bug, you will have your account removed/deleted from OfficeDebo.
- You are to hold at most 1 (one) account on OfficeDebo at any given time. If you would like to start your character over again, you must first request an OfficeDebo administrator to remove/delete it for you first. If you have siblings or other family members who want to play the game, this will be the only other acceptable reason for having multiple accounts on the same IP. If this be the case, absolutely no trading and/or battling will be allowed between the accounts in question. Breaking this rule will result in your account being removed/deleted. This does mean that logging in from a public computer/campus Internet connection is not encouraged.
- Any player assisting or influencing another player to break any rule is just as accountable for the rule being broken.
- Any player stealing from any other player, firm, Blionk or anything associated with Blionk will have access removed from all of the Blionk network of websites for a period of time as seen fit by the Blionk network administrators.
3.0 Message Board Rules
- Useless messages which are deemed by staff as simply posted to boost ones message board post count, annoy other players or for any other reason are not allowed and at the discretion of staff, is a ban-able offense of 1 day per offense.
- Excessive use of capitalized letters is deemed inappropriate and immature. Players found repeating this offense may be banned by OfficeDebo staff at their discretion.
- Excessive, unprovoked unacceptable language as stated above (2.0.5) is not acceptable staff may ban players at their own discretion.
- Care should be taken to ensure your topic or reply is relevant to the board or topic they are in relation to. Consistent failure to abide by this request may result in a ban.
- Signatures, including pictures posted by a player anywhere in OfficeDebo are to be kept neat and orderly. Signatures or pictures designed to take up excessive space or implicitly or directly insult another player or organization are not allowed.
- Players found to be posting or talking on behalf of a jailed or banned player will receive the same punishment as the player they are posting or talking on behalf of.
- Players are not to place directly derogatory comments about other players or anything in relation to Blionk inside thier signiture and is a bannable offence.
4.0 Rules for Staff
- Staff are to maintain decency and dignity in all aspects as they are the public face of OfficeDebo and our players deserve none the less.
- Staff are not to abuse any tools or utilities they receive as being part of the OfficeDebo staff team.
- The staffing system works in a hierarchy. Punishment for breaking a staff only rule by a staff member can only be handed down by a higher leveled staff member.
- If a punishment is handed to a staff member, only a higher leveled staff member than the punisher can lift this ban or the punisher themselves.
- Any staff member who assists another player or themselves will be revoked of their staff position and jailed or deleted.
5.0 Legal Statements
- While OfficeDebo will do everything in our power to impose a great level of respect and ideals to our players, we are not responsible for the actions of the OfficeDebo players but will do all that we can to assist the appropriate government agencies should they request information or assistance.
- Any person or organization which has been found to have either attempted to or has successfully .hacked. or surpassed the security measures to restrict access to only those who are approved will have their federal law enforcement agencies contacted in regards to this issue and charges will be pressed.
7.0 Punishments
- Unless otherwise stated in any other clause in this agreement, punishments are left to the discretion of the staff of OfficeDebo. The punishments may include:
- A fine of in-game currency.
- Any period of time which must be served in the in-game jail.
- A fine of any in-game item, including but not limited to any statistical information or value related to your account, including but not limited to currency, experience points and firm treasuries.
- The removal of any privileges.
- A temporary ban of any amount of days from the message boards or any other aspect of the game.
- Account deletion.
- Permanent banning from accessing the website.
8.0 Provision of Service
- While the staff and owners of OfficeDebo will do all they can to ensure OfficeDebo is available to use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, we are in no way guaranteeing the availability of OfficeDebo.
- Donations are treated as a .gift. to help support the game and in return OfficeDebo may provide a .gift. or .gifts. for the player who donates. By donating you are in no way owed anything by OfficeDebo. Donations are non-refundable.
- If a donation should .bounce. due to fraud or any other reason, a $25 USD fine will apply, your account details forwarded to the proper authorities and your character jailed.
